Coopers Yard Summer Weekender!
Coopers Yard Summer Weekender – 14th & 15th June
We’re kicking off summer in style with two days of great food, drink, music, and all-round good times at Coopers Yard.
What’s On:
Saturday 14th June
• Flower Crown Workshops with Spring Wood Flowers
• Live music from Café Orchestra from 1:30pm
Sunday 15th June
• Live performance from Dr Pete’s Salsa Band from 1:30pm
Plus: Outdoor bars in the beer garden, food specials, and more across the whole weekend.
No tickets needed—just turn up and enjoy the vibe.
Flower Crown Workshop with Spring Wood Flowers
Join Spring Wood Flowers for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to make your own flower crown using fresh, seasonal flowers.

Bina's Cooking Class - Aloo Gobi
Join our incredible vendor Bina’s Kitchen for their next cooking class - Aloo Gobi (Potato & Cauliflower Curry) with a Hara Chutney and Onion Fried Rice.
25th June starting at 6:15pm
2-3 hours in total
Includes a master class in making Aloo Gobi and sides + a goody bag to take home which includes a recipe card, a create your own spice mix jar, as well as the meal you made in the class. Refreshments are included.
The recipe itself is a twist on the classic, it’s something a bit more special than your average aloo gobi! You will learn how to make a curried gobi puree with hasselback potatoes and top it with a green chutney. Not only does it taste good but it looks great plated up too, works great as a side dish with a BBQ or as a main…. It’s veggie but can be made vegan, too!
Mindful Market -`Pride Edition
We’re celebrating Pride this June with an exclusive Pride night market run in collaboration with Mindful Market. On Thursday 26th June from 6pm - 9pm, join a variety of indie run, sustainable businesses run by people in the LGBTQ+ community for a night of shopping, food and drinks!
Mindful Markets hos pop-up markets all around the North of England, specially curated to help you shop more sustainably, inclusively and for your wellbeing. Our last market was a roaring success and we can’t wait to welcome them back!
Mums On’t' Mic
A new creative event for mums & babies run by Mums On’t’ Mic in collaboration with our Motherhood Club.
Turn up, play music, recite poetry, read letters, perform prose, or just listen.
Free to attend and join in… Our first event kicks off on Friday 27th June from 10:30am - 11:30am.
Art Week Supper Club by Kal’s
Kal’s are kicking off Holmfirth Art Week with a BANG with a supper club that you can enjoy whilst having a first look at our art installations curated by Alice Baxter.
The 8-course menu, listed below can also be paired with craft beers from Manchester-based brewery, Track who will be pouring at O’Briens that weekend too. The exact beer list and pricing will be revealed closer to the time.

Doors will open at 6 pm, with dinner served at 7 pm. Please allow the entire evening to fully enjoy the experience.
Due to the intimate size of the space, we cannot accommodate substitutions and cater to any allergens.
Holmfirth Art Week - Fringe Event
Holmfirth Artweek Fringe is back with a fantastic showcase of local talent at Coopers Yard & O'Brien's, curated by Alice Baxter!
Explore diverse works from artists including Lily Sanderson, Mark Harrison, Travis Joubert, Mick Kirkby-Geddes, Jo Blaker, Lydia Noble, Cicely Rae, Mustafa Jibrail, Kate Thornton, Alice Baxter, Craig Millburn, and Joshua Watkins.
For a sneaky preview, join us at Kal’s art week inspired supper club, featuring an 8-course menu with optional drinks pairing, all enjoyed amidst the artwork on display (tickets limited and available via the link in our bio)
Adding to the experience at the main event, our friends at Boundary Brewing have crafted a special Art Week beer, available on tap and in cans at both of our venues.
Please remember our opening times are Thursday - Sunday so you'll need to come on those days to see the work.
Art Week runs throughout different venues in the town between 6th - 12th July!

The Luddite group played a significant role in the early 1800s around Huddersfield, protesting the introduction of new machinery in the textile industry.
Learn through creativity at one of Yorkshire's best small arts events! 🎉

Join us for a Children’s Illustration Workshop with author & illustrator @elliot_chester_draws
On 24th May, we’re welcoming children aged 7-11 years for a fun and creative afternoon of illustration. The workshop is based on Elliot’s animal mash-ups and will teach children about how to bring their own ideas to life on the page!

THIS IS AN ADVANCE NOTICE TO PLANT THOSE SEEDS AND TAKE THOSE CUTTINGS!
The event will be held at Coopers Yard on May 18th from 11am - 2pm.
All plants welcome - indoor and out!
This is a not for profit event, with any money made going to charity.
Pop in on the day with tables set up inside and out for your plants to be donated or for you to shop. Brunch will be available as will coffee on the day so it’s sure to be a lovely morning… let’s pray for sunshine!
