Bina's Cooking on Coal
We invite you to come and experience a culinary tradition in Pakistan as we take over the yard outside on the 1st and 2nd of August!
Come and watch your food being cooked fresh over coals. Stirred in a big curry pot over fire or baked in a tandoor oven!
Expect fire cooked chicken, skewers, curries, fresh naans, dips + more to be announced closer to the date including full menu with vegan and gluten free options available
Alongside Connor at Fed by Field, who will be bringing his fire cooking expertise to the yard we’re very excited for this one!

Amazelab - Space Workshop
Join us for our next workshop with Amazelabs- fun and creative children’s events focussing on all things STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths).
Aimed at children aged between 5-11.
This workshop theme is focussed on space!

Canine Capers with the RSPCA
We’re celebrating all things dogs with the RSPCA Huddersfield, Halifax & Bradford!
Bring your four legged friend down to Coopers Yard on Thursday 14th August from 4pm - 8pm for an event aimed at celebrating our pets and promoting the amazing work the RSPCA do.
On the day you can expect:
Dog family portraits
Doggy artwork
Mini dog show
Dog Tombola, Teddy Tombola, gifts bags, Lucky Dips & more
Games inc pass the parcel, musical sits, best treat catcher
Children’s design a dog poster competition to help promote the animals that need adopting
Donations to the charity are welcome! Free to attend.

Rhythm and Rhymes Writing Workshop with Elliot Chester
Elliot Chester is back at Coopers Yard and this time he is offering a children’s writing workshop on August 29th from 2pm.
The 90 min session will include everything from:
- A quick Q&A to start the session
- Discussion of what ‘poetry’ is and how it makes you feel
- Interactive mind maps
- Techniques and rhyming patterns
- Blackout poetry
Oktoberfest @ Coopers Yard & O'Briens
Our favourite day of the year just got bigger!
A joint event this year between Coopers Yard and O'Briens so get it in your diary!
Coopers Yard will be pouring official Oktoberfest beers available in steins as well as hosting a load of traditional games all day long, meanwhile at O'Briens we will be celebrating all things German and hoppy craft beer 🍻 before hosting our friends Hade Edge Brass Band again.
Running over TWO weekends so you don't miss out - mark 20th & 27th September in your diaries as a huge beer event here in Holmfirth. (& yes before anyone asks, Oktoberfest runs in September in Germany) 🍻
Prizes for best dressed. Pretzels and more!
